ALMA
A Contemporary Art Event
Friday 21st & Saturday 22nd April 2017
7pm to 11pm
London

About

The Alma was a pub and brewery established in 1854, the year in which The Battle of the Alma was fought in the Crimea.

On the evenings of 21st and 22nd of April 2017, The Alma reopens for one final weekend. This project creates a unique platform and brings together four diverse artists to display their works over four separate floors in this inspiring Victorian building.

ALMA is a contemporary arts event featuring powerful and moving work from leading London based creative practitioners Aoife van Linden Tol, Sean Rogg, and Gui Pondé  as well as We Are Alma, a performance collective formed as a direct response to the project.

The Spatial designer Ana Lumack who is interested in conveying matters of the psychological realm into conceptual spaces  will be responsible for the bridge between artists’ aesthetic intents and the audience unconscious perception.

This event presents two of the beers originally brewed on the premises replicated from the exact brewer’s 1854 recipe using a replica yeast strain and matching water content.
